This consultation is now closed for stakeholders interested in shaping the evolution of new dynamic connections as we move to support more solar and other Distributed Energy Resources (DER) on our networks.

You may be an advocate for the DER industry, an electrical contractor or solar supplier, or another interested stakeholder.

The journey so far

We have been working closely with the industry to move from connecting passive DER, with very limited ‘smarts’, to enabling more active DER opportunities, where devices can communicate in the market and respond to demand and prices signals.

We see a future where the dynamic connection of Inverter Energy System (IES) are the norm, delivering value for both our customers and for the security and efficient operation of the electricity network.

The first version of the new Dynamic Customer Standards have now been released and are available on our Ergon Energy Network and Energex websites. Check out the consultation for these standards at Enabling Dynamic Customer Connections for DER.

In addition, we have updated our Embedded Generation standards released 18 December 2021 and these are available on our external websites.

So what would we like your feedback on now?

We acknowledge these news standards are in their infancy and advancement will be required. If you have any feedback or suggestions to assist in the development of our standards please send this through to standardsfeedback@energyq.com.au

If you would like to hear our discussion, check out our webinars to learn more:
