Energex and Ergon Energy have been consulting with industry stakeholders on enabling dynamic customer connection for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) to:

  • Facilitate collaborative industry contribution in the shaping, delivery and evolution of the overall solution for dynamic connections for Queensland;
  • Provide industry confidence and clarity on the expected pathway for active DER connections in Queensland.
  • Encourage and prepare industry for investment in certified compliance to standards.
  • Encourage the availability of a technology and connection solution which ensures Queensland customers are able to access affordable active DER connections; enabling access to emerging markets, expansion into new technologies and allowing for greater flexibility in access to network, for example, increasing export capability; and
  • Discuss how dynamic connections are already proving to be a win-win for customers and networks.
